Beatport is responsible for the digital accessibility of electronic music and its associated culture. We have built the largest electronic music store in the world; standing atop a colossal catalogue of inventory, containing millions of tracks catering to the tastes of over a million weekly users from around the globe. The UI/UX Designer will be primarily responsible for the design aesthetic of existing and future Beatport products. This team member will help lead the consistency and optimization of the Beatport technology suite, ensuring maximum usability and brand congruence throughout.
This role will work directly with product and engineering to create static and interactive design mockups, as well as leading user research initiatives to improve on existing products.
Our ideal candidate will conduct independent research on multiple aspects of products and experiences, advocating research findings to diverse audiences through written reports and personal design iteration.
This is a high impact role on a small, agile team.
This role is located in Denver, Colorado and requires eligibility to work in the United States without need for visa sponsorship. Applicants who are outside the Denver Metro area and ready to relocate are welcome to apply, but local candidates are preferred
You will have
- 5+ years in a web/mobile UI/UX design role
- 5+ years’ experience generating complex functional requirements, use-cases, technical specifications, data schemas, user flows, site maps, wire frames, UI design mockups
- 3+ years generating robust prototypes with tools like UXpin, Hotgloo, Adobe XD, Axure, etc
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- A strong communicator that can confidently contribute to shaping the culture of the dev team
- Continuously improving software engineering practices
- A purpose driven, problem solver with a tremendous thirst for learning
- Passionate about electronic music and culture
